Why Jamberry

Welcome!  Welcome, welcome, welcome.  Come in, sit down.  Let me tell you why I'm here.  See, once upon a time, as a little girl, I adored nail polish.  ADORED IT.  Until I was allowed to start using it.  And then, I still adored it...perfectly applied by professionals on other people.  I could never seem to get mine right.  I'd go over my cuticle.  Not close enough to the cuticle.  It'd smudge.  It took forever to dry and I needed to pee.  Finally, I managed to apply it nicely, develop enough patience to let it dry properly...and it'd last maybe a whole 48 hours before it started to show signs of wear.  If a manicure lasted four days and still looked presentable, I felt like I'd won the lottery.

In the two and a half decades since I was a starry eyed little tweenie, I have eagerly snatched up all the new nail pretties I've seen and been sorely disappointed in just about every one of them.  Pre-polished stick ons seemed like a win, until they came snapping off and damaged my nail bed with them.  Acrylics sounded like a great plan...except for the expense, maintenance and the fact that they completely killed my natural nails.  Nail polish "sheets" sounded like the perfect answer...until they too peeled, chipped and looked horrible way too soon.  Except Jamberry.

A friend introduced me a month ago and after initial skepticism, I messaged her and said "I want to sell this".  I have never, ever, done a direct sell product in my life.  In fact for the last two years, I've refused any and all invitations to direct sell parties on principle.  This is a product that I loved enough to re-examine all that.  I love the idea of beautifully manicured nails but I'll be honest, until now they seemed like too much work, expense and fragility for my budgeted time poor lifestyle.

So, in wrestling with my conscience to sign on as a Jamberry consultant, I make you the following pledges:

  • You'll never get a "hard sell" from me.  I'm enthusiastic because I love this product, but that's it.  If you don't love it too, don't buy it - no pressure!
  • If you host a party then your guests will not be pressured, cajoled or given guilt trips to buy products.  It's a fun few hours spent playing with nail pretties and hanging with your crew.  I'll show off our range, play some games and share my love of Jamberry.  If they don't love them or feel that they have a use for our products, then I don't want them to buy them out of guilt or a sense of loyalty.  Genuine customers are happy customers!
  • I won't abandon you post-party.  If you have questions or problems with your product post purchase, I'll happily troubleshoot them with you to make sure that what you've bought works for you.
  • I'll respect your "no".  I've often said that party plan can ruin friendships and I do NOT want to be "that friend" (you know, the one we all have who only ever talks to you when they want to sell you stuff?).  If you tell me you don't want to be invited to Jamberry events or hear about product offerings, I won't keep sending them!  PROMISE!
This blog is my place to share my Jamberry world, my favourite wraps, tips and tricks.  I hope you'll add it to your regular reads.
